Who we are and what this policy covers
In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to TrueBooks USA. This policy describes information handled through truebooksusa.com and related website inquiries, consultation scheduling, and the TrueBooks USA marketing text-message program.
Information we collect
When you contact us or schedule a consultation, we receive the information you choose to submit. Depending on the feature, this may include your name, email address, phone number, message, business inquiry, and scheduling details. We also keep records of communication preferences, SMS consent, and requests to stop messages.
The website and its service providers may process technical information needed to deliver their features, such as network addresses, browser and device information, access times, and service logs. The site's cookie notice uses browser storage to remember when you dismiss it. Embedded scheduling services may use their own browser storage or identifiers.
We use Google Analytics to measure website visits and when visitors open the consultation calendar. The calendar-open event includes the page path, not information entered into the calendar or callback form. Completed callback requests are recorded separately by GoHighLevel/LeadConnector when a visitor submits its form.
How we use information
We use inquiry and scheduling information to respond to you and coordinate requested consultations. We use communication preferences to send the messages you have authorized and to honor your choices. We also use information to operate and protect the website, resolve service problems, maintain necessary business records, and meet applicable legal obligations.
We send marketing text messages only with the appropriate consent. Providing a phone number for an inquiry or consultation does not by itself authorize marketing texts.
Service providers and SMS information
We use Vercel to host the public website, Google Analytics for website measurement, and GoHighLevel/LeadConnector for the embedded consultation and callback features. Service providers may process information needed to deliver those functions on our behalf.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Support providers may handle information needed to assist us in serving you. Text-message opt-in records and consent are not available for unrelated parties to use in their own programs. Those restrictions continue to apply when we use support providers; using a provider does not give it permission to market to you for itself.
If a disclosure is legally required, we will limit it to what is necessary to comply with that requirement.
Your choices and requests
You can contact us by email or phone without enrolling in marketing texts. Providing contact details for an inquiry does not by itself enroll you in marketing messages. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing services.
To stop marketing texts, reply STOP to the number that sent the message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us using the details below. See our Terms of Service for the SMS program terms.
You can contact us to ask about information we hold about you or to request a correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will handle requests as required by applicable law and explain any records we must retain. Deleting a conversation does not necessarily remove the records needed to respect an opt-out.
Retention and protection
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including required records and the information needed to respect communication preferences. When those purposes no longer apply, we delete or de-identify information, subject to applicable obligations and the handling of backups.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, storage system, or communication channel can guarantee complete security. Please do not send passwords, bank-account credentials, Social Security numbers, tax documents, or payment-card details through public website forms or email.
Other sites and policy updates
Links and embedded services can take you to another provider's website. Review that provider's notices for its own handling of information. This policy addresses our practices and does not replace those notices.
We will post policy updates here with a revised effective date. An update to this page does not enroll you in a new SMS program or replace a consent choice.
